Alistair Millar

Senior Partner

Alistair is the Senior Partner at Tallents Solicitors and is also our Head of Property, specialising in property, conveyancing law and also agricultural law.

Alistair acts for private clients on residential property matters including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers, as well as residential planning matters – from simple advice on particular applications to running planning appeals.
Alistair is also Tallents’ agricultural law specialist, dealing with all aspects of farming law and specialist rural business issues; such as Riparian Rights. Alistair also heads up the Agricultural Law department at Tallents.

Andrew Stout

Partner

As well as being a Partner in the firm, Andy has worked as a family and criminal lawyer, specialising in family law and children law since 1999 and is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel. He is also an Accredited Family Law Specialist with Resolution. Andy’s workload covers the broad range of family proceedings, including separation and divorce, financial matters which arise from separation and divorce and all issues in respect of children, such as Child Arrangements.

Stephanie Whitchurch

Partner

Stephanie is an experienced solicitor, Senior Litigator and Partner with Tallents and has been with the firm since 2012. She is also the Head of the Litigation Department, specialising in personal and commercial dispute resolution.
Stephanie is especially well regarded locally for her work on contentious trusts and probate matters.

She also has proven expertise in advising both employers and employees with regards to contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.

Sarah Allen

Partner

Sarah is a Partner and Head of the Wills, Trust and Probate department. She specialises in the preparation of Wills, inheritance tax advice and dealing with probate and estate administration.

Sarah also offers appointments at our offices in Mansfield and Newark.

Oliver Emmett

Partner

Oliver is a Partner who specialises in all types of property law, but his main areas of expertise are residential conveyancing and freehold commercial property transactions. He handles a wide variety of residential property transactions for clients including: Registered and unregistered land, freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, transfer of equity, transfer of mortgage, shared ownership, new builds and plots, Right to Buy, Government Help to Buy Scheme.
